Man…just being on here after a week off feels weird. Going from writing every day for two years to…not certainly has been an adjustment. But I can honestly say that it has already proven to be the change that needed to be made.

I will say it again, however; writing daily on here for those two years was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Because of it, keeping habits up isn’t an issue anymore. To replace the anchor, the keystone habit that this blog was, I added another writing session in my journal in the evening.

During this week, I’d say the most important moment happened while I was skating to go get some groceries. It was on Friday actually. Earlier that day I had read an article that in essence invites readers to find a theme for 2019, the driving force that will make it a great year. At the time I read it, I was inspired, no doubt. But I had multiple themes swirling around in my mind.

Until it came to me while I was skating. Above all of the themes that came to me, there’s one that will be the foundation:

2019 is the year of BELIEF.

Belief in my skills and abilities, belief that I can level up my life — by letting go of the past and move forward, belief in my goals and dreams…

And most importantly, where it all starts, belief in myself.

I mentioned it on the tail end of last year’s daily blog and I’ll mention it again. It’s become clear to me that self-belief is one of, if not the most important ingredient I’ve been missing for my success.

2019’s the year I add it to the mix. For good.

After belief, there’s one other theme that trumps the rest:

GO GET IT.

Taking action for what I want, which is another ingredient that was missing for a while.

That’s what 2019’s about for me.

What about you?

Peace,

J
