Motion

Week 3

I’ll admit, I wasn’t quite prepared for this post. I’ll admit again that I’ve gotten used to not having to write a blog every day on the internet. It’s been allowing me to regain some much-needed focus.

If there’s one thing of value that I took from this week, it’s another thought that came to me while I was skating, fittingly enough:

Stay in motion.

Or as I wrote in my iPhone when the thought hit me, do something. It was probably the very act of skating to the library that inspired the thought as I was on my way to the library. I was reminded that sitting around, staying stagnant, isn’t going to solve anything. Just as it is with doing math; sitting there looking at the problem isn’t going to solve it. But starting to work through it, wherever that might be, will.

Plus, I’ve noticed, or I’ve become more aware, that not only am I fidgety, I get bored pretty easy. That’s why switching up the designs during the daily notecard journey was so imperative. Hell, even making the switch from still life to making graphics was part of that.

Staying in motion is key.

Peace,

J
