Week 5

If I had to point to something that I would consider to be a W for the week, it would be this.

Since self-doubt seeps into all areas of life when entertained, logo design, specifically this badge logo style, has been a skill that I’ve lacked confidence in since I started experimenting with graphic design a couple years back. In hindsight, it’s been due to a lack of what the title reads; actually making logos. It’s funny how things come full circle though. This logo came about the same way the ‘ill’ lettering did. The idea lingered in my mind for a bit, didn’t act on it for a while, it resurfaced and then I got to it.

And this wasn’t even the first finished product. I went through nine artboards of variations of it in Illustrator before I decided on this one.

Nevertheless, I felt the greatest sense of accomplishment this week once I decided, proving yet again that Mark Manson had it right;
